  I went shopping two weeks ago, while checking out the cashier offered me to apply for credit card and that I would get a discount. I told her I don't want to apply for credit card because I don't to have a hard inquiry on my credit report . She confirmed to me several times that I wont have a hard inquiry on my credit report and mentioned to me she was trained very well and that I can be confident. But now after two weeks I checked my credit score, it has lowered significantly because of the hard inquiry from Saks (capital one) credit card. I find such marketing system to a scam, lying to customers and giving the wrong information to make money out of them. I definitly won't be shopping with me again.
