  I had never been to a Bob Evans before this weekend. My boyfriend and I usually go to another place for breakfast but decided to switch it up. 20 minute wait which we didn't mind because we got coffee while we waited and it was a Saturday morning so we expected it. We got seated and our waitress came up and took our drink orders. Right away we can tell she isn't in a good mood. No smile, sort of rushes us even though I tell her I'll need a minute. We get our food which was great, but not ONCE did we get asked if we needed refills and not ONCE did she check on us. Simply brought us our check and walked away. And then when we went upfront to pay our bill, I grabbed a T shirt to buy. And the young lady ringing us up said "no one wants to buy that stupid shirt for 10$" and then says "I would've just let you steal it, I took a couple of them with a five finger discount." It was just awkward. Well, we loved the food so we came back today. Hoping it would be better. At first it was! Our waitress seemed apologetic that we waited to place our drink order but it was no big deal. From there, it was all down hill. First, we ordered the same menu items we had the day before and everything came out differently then it did the day before. No consistency. Neither waitress seemed to know anything about the food they serve at all. I have worked as a waitress in the past and noticed that where our waitress was busy, she was not so busy as to neglect us for a real reason. She was flirting with waiters behind the counter and making jokes. Kept forgetting things we asked for and never offered or got us refills. Just brought the check. Overall, food was good. But customer service was not good . It takes a LOT to make me dislike a server or think they are doing a bad job as I have been in there shoes but it seems several employees need to be trained again. We will not be going back.
